Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 31, 2026
Sharelock is an iMessage app extension operated by Inoviscope LLC (“Sharelock,” “we,” “us”). We built Sharelock to keep your messages private, and our data practices reflect that. This policy explains what we do and don't collect.
The short version
- We have no accounts and ask for no personal information.
- Your message content is not sent to or stored on Sharelock servers.
- We don't sell or share your data, and there are no third-party advertising trackers.
Your messages
You compose a message inside the Sharelock extension and send it through Apple's Messages app. The message travels over Apple's end-to-end encrypted iMessage service between you and your recipient; Sharelock does not operate its own message servers and does not receive a copy of your message content. Your locked messages, the lock settings, and your free-message count are handled on your device.
Usage analytics
To improve the app and fix problems, we collect anonymous usage data: simple events such as opening the app or composing a message, with a random identifier generated on your device. It is never linked to you and never includes your message content or your contacts. It is processed by a third-party analytics provider, never sold or shared, and never used for advertising. Because it is anonymous, there is no in-app opt-out; deleting the app stops it entirely.
Purchases
The one-time “unlimited” unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment; Sharelock does not see or store your payment details. Your purchase status is managed by Apple and read by the app to unlock features.
Children
Sharelock does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your choices
Because we don't maintain accounts or store your content, there is no profile to access or delete on our side. Deleting the app removes its on-device data. You can manage your purchase and request a refund through Apple.
Changes
We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above when we do. Questions? Contact support.
