Terms of Use
Last updated: May 31, 2026
These terms govern your use of Sharelock, an iMessage app extension provided by Inoviscope LLC. By using Sharelock, you agree to them.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Sharelock for your own personal, lawful messaging. You agree not to misuse the app, reverse-engineer it, or use it to harass, deceive, or harm others.
Free tier & purchases
Sharelock includes a free allowance of twenty-five locked messages per calendar month. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks unlimited messages. Purchases are made through Apple and are subject to Apple's terms; refunds are handled by Apple.
What Sharelock does and doesn't guarantee
Sharelock adds an on-device biometric lock, opened with the recipient's Face ID or Touch ID (or the device passcode), on top of Apple's iMessage. It is a privacy tool, not a guarantee of secrecy. In particular: a recipient who has unlocked a message can still take a screenshot or photograph their screen, and the locked bubble itself remains visible in the conversation. Please use Sharelock accordingly.
Disclaimer & liability
Sharelock is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Inoviscope LLC is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. We may update them; continued use means you accept the changes.
